The borough of Santa Teresa Gallura collects sorted waste,door-to-door, from Monday to Saturday. Every household or apartment block should therefore have the proper bins, which should be put out on the street after 8pm of the previous day until 5am of the day indicated on the calendar.
You can consult the calendars here:
TOWN AND VILLAGE CALENDAR (Capo Testa, La Filetta, La Ficaccia, Marazzino, Ruoni, Capizza di Vacca, Porto Pozzo, San Pasquale)
SEASIDE CALENDAR (Lu Pultiddolu, Baia Santa Reparata, Terravecchia, Porto Quadro, La Marmorata, Valle dell’Erica, Conca Verde)
There are also monitored recycling centres, which operate with national health cards or with ecocards available from the council’s Environment Office. These centres take all types of waste and are found in the following locations:
- Santa Teresa Gallura town centre: Via Pertini (by the theatre), Via Capo Testa (by the former Finanza police station) and Via Don Tedde (in front of Dettori supermarket)
- Santa Reparata: Via Aldebaran and Via delle Costellazioni
- Ruoni: Via James Cook (by the mechanic)
- Porto Pozzo: tourist port square
- Conca Verde: Via Ulisse
- Valle dell’Erica: Strada Liscia di Scopa
- Porto Quadro: provincial road SP 161
- San Pasquale: Via Don Gavino Pes
Last but not least, there’s a council-run Ecocentre in Buoncammino (3 km from town) where you can dropoff even large items of recyclable waste (so no unrecyclable household refuse).
