THE PORT
The port of Longonsardo, which was already well known in ancient Roman times – thanks to its favourable position, sheltered from northwesterly winds – has become one of the most well-equipped tourist and commercial harbours in northern Sardinia, boasting approximately 700 berths and large enough to accommodate 30-35-metre vessels.
Ferries run daily connections to nearby Corsica, around 50 minutes’ sailing from here.
During the summer season, unforgettable excursions set off from the port towards the Archipelago of La Maddalena and the Corsican Archipelago. The port is also the scenic backdrop for food festivals and other events.
Its elongated shape is actually what inspired Santa Teresa’s name in ancient times: Longonis.
The port of Longonsardo boasts FEE Blue Flag certification.
