It is located only a stone\u2019s throw from the old town centre and features a plain facade with a square bell tower. The church is surrounded by colourful houses and overlooks the port. Entirely painted white, the church features a rectangular layout with side buttresses and a bell-gable. Inside, it consists of a single nave with two round arches and a niche at the far end that houses the statue of St. Lucy. The Crucifixion statue carved in wild olive and juniper wood by Giovanni Pedditzi is particularly interesting, as are the 14 Stations of the Cross painted by Cosimo Musio that decorate the side walls. The church is a simple white building surrounded by granite and seaside colours. It is believed that the ancient temple was dedicated to a divinity that protected wayfarers, given that it occupied a strategic position when travelling towards other places. The church that stands here today was rebuilt in the early 1900s with a Latin cross layout, a portico outside and a bell-gable. Here, the parish church of San Tommaso was built in approximately 1930, commissioned by Pope Pius IX. Dating from the early 1900s, it was entirely rebuilt in the 1960s with granite cladding over a Romanesque-style basilica floor plan, with a large two-storey portico. The magnificent view from the side bell tower is worth mentioning. The architectural style, featuring bare stone, was chosen to resemble a Sardinian nuraghe, whilst featuring sacred elements. The churchyard has a bronze statue of the Fisherman\u2019s Piet\u00e0, by the Veneto-based sculptor Sergio Rodella, and a large wooden cross that points towards a beautiful view.
