BEACHES<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]Along the coastline around Santa Teresa in between the long sandy beaches and promontories with their rich seabeds and crystal clear water, there are bays, coves, and inlets which all deserve a visit. With the exception of La Rena Bianca only 2 minute\u2019s walk from the village centre, the others can be reached by car in 10\/15 minutes but a few only are accessible on foot or by boat. LA RENA BIANCA<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1687792031327{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]Just 5 minutes\u00a0 walk from the village centre, there\u00a0 is a semi-circular 341 mt long sandy beach, facing the French Isle of Corsica. The high white limestone cliffs of the town of Bonifacio, only 11 miles away, are visible on a clear day. The beach is well protected from the winds by the Isle of Municca on the left and from the headland, where you can see the Spanish tower of Longonsardo, on the right. BAIA SANTA REPARATA E POLTU PITROSU<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1583232285567{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]Take the road to Capo Testa, after about 2 km turn left and follow the narrow winding road which goes down to the residential area of \u201cBaia S. Reparata\u201d named after the small Church. The main sandy and crescent shaped beach, is surrounded by the Mediterranean vegetation and rocky outcrops that form natural rock pools. Poltu Pitrosu a small cove located at the end of the main road, 400 m further from La Colba, can be reached via a short path from the car park. CAPO TESTA AND RENA DI PONENTE BEACH<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1758284134600{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]Capo Testa is a promontory 3 km from Santa Teresa, where there are two beaches divided by a narrow isthmus, on the left is Rena di Ponente, also known as Taltana Beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2013.<\/p>\n

It is one of the largest beaches in the entire area. The seabed slopes gently, creating a thousand shades of turquoise, and it is surrounded by an intricate dune system of wind-shaped junipers.<\/p>\n

The area is also known for its white-gray granite, sculpted by the wind into anthropomorphic and zoomorphic shapes, the dense Mediterranean vegetation, which includes endemic plant species typical of the region, and the clean, transparent waters.<\/p>\n

CAPO TESTA AND RENA DI LEVANTE BEACH (ZIA CULUMBA)<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1758551653704{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]Capo Testa is a promontory 3 km from Santa Teresa, where there are two beaches divided by a narrow isthmus, on the right is Rena di Levante, also known as \u201cZia Colomba Beach\u201d by the locals, or \u201cdei Graniti\u201d due to the remains of ancient Roman quarries, Blu flag since 2016.<\/p>\n

Rena di Levante features a section of beach with a predominantly rocky seabed, making it ideal for snorkeling enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

The area known as \u201cZia Colomba,\u201d has a 250-meter stretch of sandy beach. The seabed is a mix of fine golden sand and rocks. In some areas, the shallow waters allow families with children to enjoy the beach safely.<\/p>\n

The area is also characterized by white-gray granite sculpted by the wind into anthropomorphic and zoomorphic shapes, dense Mediterranean vegetation\u2014including endemic plant species typical of the region\u2014and clean, transparent waters.<\/p>\n

A small, unspoiled cove nestled among the rocky cliffs of the Capo Testa promontory.<\/p>\n

It can be reached in about twenty minutes on foot from the parking area near the lighthouse, taking the steep path carved into the rock just to the right of a nearby refreshment point.<\/p>\n

A peaceful spot and an ideal destination for snorkeling enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

CALA GRANDE (also known as Moon Valley).<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1583232482420{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]Park your car near the wooden gate on the left hand side of the road before you reach the car park at the lighthouse. From here continue on foot following the directions given on the map by the gate. Along this path you will come across a huge mass of granite 15 m long with a series of small holes,
\nremains of the past and, on your left, a tiny freshwater springlet, this is the main valley.
\nThe area immersed in a thick Mediterranean vegetation is surrounded by various uncontaminated valleys and creeks divided by huge granite rocks eroded into unusual shapes. \nTake the road for Palau, after about 5 km turn left for Marazzino\/La Marmorata. At the crossroads turn right following the sign for the pizzeria La Piana, turn left at the sign Cala Sambuco (this road is not tarmacked) Park near the gate and continue on foot. This uncontaminated small creek is ideal for nature lovers. \nalong this road until you see a sign for the Marmorata Village, turn right and follow the road down to the paid parking area. From the main bay continue on foot along the pathway to a smaller beach called La Laurina. The beaches overlook the island of Santa Maria and the islet of the Marmorata, where signs of a Roman quarry can be seen underwater. It is a long stretch of white sand divided into two coves by granite outcrops. The surrounding mediterranean vegetation and the crystal clear emerald waters make it an ideal relaxing spot. From this beach you can see across to the Archipelago of the Maddalena and Punta Sardegna. ISLET OF MUNICCA<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1583232848436{padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”]The ISLET OF MUNICCA is an excellent destination for a day of exploration and snorkeling, thanks to its characteristic rocks and its variegated seabed.
\nIts best known rock is the Man of Municca, a large boulder of square granite, leaning on a slender natural pedestal. Different species of seabirds are
\nfound on the islet.
